What is MAP Movement?

(Myofascial Activated Posture)

We have recently found that fascia is important in movement. Fascia is the glue that holds our bodies together. Fascia also acts as a wetsuit for our bodies. Due to injuries, posture, surgery, stress etc., our wetsuit shrinks causing us to move with difficulty and pain. It is a very interconnected system that made us realise that where you experience your pain is not necessarily where the origin of the problem is. We thus use the 5 MAP Movements as rehabilitation tools for evaluation and treatment to address the problem. With MAP techniques we aim to remould our wetsuits back to its original size and design enabling us to move more freely and without limits.

WHO WILL BENEFIT FROM MAP MOVEMENT?

If you struggle with recurrent injuries or chronic pain

After surgery or if you have scar tissue

If you sit for long hours in a day

If your body feels inflexible or stuck in position

Prenatal & Postnatal

MAP Movement fills the gap between movement as we know it and movement as we want it to be.
